Tim J. Ziolkowski

    Tim is a U.S. Patent Office Registered Patent Attorney and received his law degree from Marquette University in 1993 (Law Review). He is an electrical engineer and has a technical background in mechanical, electrical & software engineering. Tim received his EE degree from UW-Milwaukee, with honors, in 1989.

    His practice includes counseling small to large corporations on effective filing strategies, risk management, and cost containment. He manages a robust patent and trademark preparation and prosecution practice, renders opinions, and educates in the preparation and prosecution of patent applications. He focuses his practice on the medical, electronics, software, electro-mechanical, and mechanical arts, and infringement avoidance counseling at initial product conception.

    Tim is a Martindale-Hubbell “AV” Peer Review Rated attorney. Martindale-Hubbell states that “an AV® certification mark is a significant rating accomplishment - a testament to the fact that a lawyer's peers rank him or her at the highest level of professional excellence").     Tim is a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin, the American Bar Association, the American Intellectual Property Law Association, and the Milwaukee Bar Association. He was on the executive board of IEEE Milwaukee, and served as the Secretary, Vice-Chairperson/Program Chair, and Chairperson. He has lectured at IEEE on IP and served as Chair and co-Chair of the IP Section of the Milwaukee Bar. Tim also lectures at the Milwaukee School of Engineering on patent, trademark, and copyright law.

    ZPS specializes in flat fees and providing cost effective service to its customers. ZPS is a paperless office with a completely electronic filing system. Virtually all PTO filings and communication are done electronically.

Stephanie Mueller Laundre

    Stephanie is a Senior Attorney with ZPS and primarily focuses on patent prosecution and licensing. Stephanie has bachelor and master’s degrees in engineering which provides her with a broad technical base that assists her in drafting and prosecuting patent applications for a wide range of technologies, including motor controls, medical imaging, micro-electronics packaging, hybrid vehicles and other alternative energy applications.

    Stephanie’s practice also includes advising foreign counsel on international patent filings, performing patent and trademark analyses and preparing related opinions, performing patent portfolio analysis, and reviewing and drafting various intellectual property agreements.

    Stephanie received her law degree, cum laude, in 2008 from Marquette University where she was an editor of the Intellectual Property Law Review. Prior to law school, Stephanie attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she received her master’s degree in 2005 and her undergraduate degree, with honors, in 2004. Stephanie is a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin.

Kevin R. Rosin

    Kevin has a technical background in mechanical engineering, with extensive experience which enables him to have knowledge in a wide range of technologies, including medical imaging systems and devices, welding equipment, hybrid vehicle technology, electrical motors and actuators, semiconductor fabrication, power electronics packaging, and motor control systems.

    Kevin also provides counsel and written opinions for clients relating to patentability, non-infringement, invalidity, design around and product clearance, performs patent portfolio assessment and counsel on breadth/scope of patent coverage, and advises foreign counsel on international patent filings.

    Kevin received his law degree, cum laude, in 2004 from Marquette University. His undergraduate degree in ME was received in 2001 from Marquette University. Kevin is a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin.

Andrew C. Stark

Registered Patent Attorney
    Andrew is a Registered Patent Attorney who specializes in patent prosecution with ZPS and is currently studying electrical engineering in a master's degree program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

    Before beginning his career as a patent attorney, Andrew worked as an engineer designing innovative heavy mining equipment and high pressure industrial pumps. Andrew received his law degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2012 and his master's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2006, specializing in thermal fluids. Andrew graduated from Michigan Technological University with a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering in 2004.

    Andrew is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office, and is a member of the State Bar in both Minnesota and Wisconsin.

Jacob M. Fritz

    Jake is a U.S. Patent Office Registered Patent Attorney and received his law degree from the University of New Hampshire School of Law (formerly Franklin Pierce Law Center) in 2013. He is a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin.

    Jake’s practice includes prosecuting utility and design patent applications in the U.S. and abroad and providing written opinions relating to patentability and non-infringement.

    Jake has experience in electrical and mechanical technologies, including circuits, medical devices, power electronics, forklifts, and pumps. He has a technical background in electrical engineering and received his undergraduate degree in electrical engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2010.
