(Ver. 8 Rev. 7 - July 2008)
General Search Tips
- Use double quotes around phrases to
search.
- Add + in front of terms/phrases that
must appear in results.
- Add - in front of terms/phrases that
must not appear in results.
- The 'Find all terms' checkbox adds
a plus in front of all terms/phrases for convenience.
* The search finds words in the body and title.
- Special characters like #!$%|&..etc.
are allowed.
- Feel free to search for numbers like
'102' or '706.07'.
- Stop-terms are common terms like "it
and the that...".
- Words less than 3 characters are not
searched.
- Boolean search terms do not work.
Searching for 'word1 or word2' will ignore 'or'
and search for 'word1 word2' (although this results
in essentially the same thing!). If 'Find all terms'
is selected, the search 'word1 or word2' will search
for '+word1 +word2'.
Advanced Search Tips
Searching can be expanded with a wildcard (*). Adding
a * to the end of a term will match all endings. For
example: 'test*' will match 'tests' 'tested' 'testing'
etc. Stop-terms are included in wildcard searches.
